3 Day 2 Nights Rinjani Summit Trek
(Via Sembalun)

We recommend spending one night in Senaru beforehand so you can begin the hike feeling rested and prepared. This option includes a guided visit to Senaru’s two beautiful waterfalls on arrival day, followed by an overnight stay at our family-run homestay, offering a warm welcome and an authentic local experience before your Rinjani adventure begins.

Your trek is led by experienced, licensed local guides, supported by porters who carry camping equipment and supplies. We maintain a steady pace, take regular rest breaks, and adapt the trek to suit the group’s abilities. Your safety and wellbeing are our priority at all times. Our team is trained in mountain safety and first aid, ensuring you are well supported throughout your Mount Rinjani experience.

1

Sembalun Village - Sembalun Crater Rim

An early morning transfer takes you to Sembalun Village, where your Mount Rinjani trek begins. The first stage of the hike takes approximately 6–7 hours, following wide trails through open grasslands and gentle slopes to the Sembalun crater rim.

Arriving at camp, there is time to rest, enjoy a warm dinner, and watch the sky change colour as the sun sets over Segara Anak Lake far below. An early night allows you to fully unwind and prepare for the days ahead.

Sembalun Crater Rim - Summit - Lake- Hot springs- Senaru Crater Rim

A gentle wake-up call around 2:30 am marks the start of the summit attempt for those who wish to continue. The ascent to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) takes approximately 2–3 hours, guided at a steady pace across volcanic terrain.

Reaching the top as dawn breaks is a truly special moment, with sweeping views stretching from Bali to the west and Sumbawa to the east. After returning to camp around 8:30 am, enjoy breakfast and a short rest.

The journey then continues with a two-hour descent to the shores of Segara Anak Lake, where time is set aside to relax and soak in the natural hot springs. In the afternoon, a two-hour ascent leads to the Senaru crater rim, where camp is made for the second night, offering beautiful sunset views across the landscape.

3

Senaru Crater Rim-Senaru

The final day follows a scenic downhill trek of around 6 hours to Senaru Village, passing through lush rainforest, coffee plantations, and tropical vegetation. Along the way, you may spot black macaque monkeys moving through the trees.

The trek finishes around 1–2 pm, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you onward to Senaru, Bangsal, Senggigi, or Mataram, bringing your Mount Rinjani experience to a memorable close.
