Our first port of call is a local morning market where you can soak up the sights and sounds of the indigenous Sasak people going about their daily life. Perhaps picking up a bargain or two along the way!

Another hour or so drive along the quiet picturesque coastal roads bring you to the north of Lombok. Here we stop at Segentar traditional village where little has changed for generations.

Set amidst stunning sloping rice paddies this area is where the original religion in Lombok first originated, Wektu Telu. It is still practiced today and the locals still uphold animist beliefs. Ceremonies are given to honor local spirits, give thanks for the harvest and to ensure rain.

Next stop Senaru. A sleepy village nestled in the foothills of the mighty Rinjani volcano. An area of outstanding beauty, this is where we do our soft trekking to the highlight of our tour, the waterfalls. Descend the ancient stairway to the magnificent Sendang Gila waterfall. The water cascading down for a dizzying height of 50 metres. Then follow the track through the rain forest, over an antiquated bridge eventually coming to Tiu Kelep waterfall. A magical place hidden deep in the jungle.

Late afternoon we transfer you back to your hotel as the sun begins to set.

This trip is suitable for all ages who are reasonably fit. Not good for people who have a problem with steep steps.
